The presence of cables in the control room has become a regular element of its landscape. Either in the internal part of the console or as part of room environment, each installation must ensure the right cable management within control center, avoiding any obstacle for the right operation of the room.

Cable management inside the console

Control room desks store all type equipment and devices. Some of these are stored internally while others are visible to the outside. In both cases, these are connected to different types of sources. To do so, a specific and dedicated console design is required in order to facilitate wiring management in the inside.

Tidy cable management

Inner part of the console must provide a system solution which will allow cable routing. In some cases this refers to a dedicated cable duct that can avoid foldings, allows the placement of flanges, or simply allows cable management straight to source points.

Specific access points

Console design will have cable entries at different parts. These holes facilitate entry from the floor or raised floor with a wide enough diameter. In addition, its location at different parts of the desk is crucial: on the side panels, on the lower tray or on the support points of the structure.

Private access

Control rooms and control centers are mission critical environments. Therefore, any risk of manipulation or inappropriate access to wiring must be minimised. Cable routing will be protected with restricted access through specific routes inside.

Cable routing for each type source

Deployed cables at workplace is diverse. To ensure proper division of tcabling according to each source type increases security conditions of the room, then avoiding risk of incident or misfunction. In addition, in case of maitenance, any required action will be easier and efficient.

Efficiency, safety and operability

Cable management at control room is achieved by the successful deployment of the previously mentioned features. This will contribute to significantly improve operability degree at workplace.

The complete set of consoles and desks from our partner LundHalsey is designed in accordance with these elements, becoming a high-value solution.
